The Toronto Blue Jays narrowly escaped with a win thanks to a home run by Cavan Biggio. Biggio had a few words to say about the come-from-behind victory.
Toronto rallied for a 7-6 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
It went to the seventh inning. They scored four runs in the top of the first inning. Matt Chapman’s sacrifice fly with runners on first and third in the bottom of the first inning cut the deficit to one run, but they gave up two more in the top of the fifth.
Toronto cut the deficit to two runs in the bottom of the fifth on Chapman’s two-run homer. They didn’t tie the game until the seventh inning. Then, in the bottom of the eighth, they broke through with a home run. 스포츠토토
Biggio, starting at first base and batting ninth, crushed a three-run home run over the right-center field fence with runners on first and second. Toronto held on to the one-run lead that Biggio’s blast gave them and snapped a two-game losing streak.
“It’s hard to put into words,” Vizio said of his come-from-behind home run.
Starter Kevin Gausman was charged with six runs on seven hits (one homer) with four walks and four strikeouts in 4 ⅔ innings, but Vizio’s home run saved him from the loss.
Biggio finished the day 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.
