‘Cho Kyu-sung’ Mitwylan’s 2-0 win over Progress in Europa League qualifier



Mittwilan, with Cho Kyu-sung in the starting lineup, got their European campaign off to a winning start.

Mittwilan defeated Progress (Luxembourg) 2-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) second qualifying round for the 2023-2024 season at the MCH Arena in Herning, Denmark on Sunday (July 27).

The second leg will be played at Progress’ home stadium, Stade Parc des Sports, on March 4.

On the day, Mittwilan deployed a 4-4-2 formation. Cho Kyu-sung and Isaksen were up front, with Simsir, Martinez, Olsson, and Sørensen in the midfield. The back four was a combination of Dier, Juninho, Ingason, and Dahlsgård, with Össl in goal. Progress countered with the likes of Natami and Amofa.

Mittwillan started the game on the front foot. Jo Gyu-kyu, who started the game, also showed off his quick movements and looked for the goal.

After impressing with a goal in his debut for Meatwillan, Cho received his first caution in the 27th minute.

Mittwilan opened the scoring in the 37th minute from a corner kick. Juninho’s attempted header went over the bar. The opposing defense scrambled to clear it, but it was ruled a goal 먹튀검증.

At the start of the second half, Mitwillan brought on Kava for Cho Kyu-sung. In the second half, Mittwilan added another goal.

In the 14th minute of the second half, Olsson’s cross from the right side was headed in by substitute Kava.
