‘Coppa Italia winner’ Inter set to re-sign Chalhanoglu-Bastoni at the same time: ‘Here We Go’

Hakan Chalhanoglu and Alessandro Bastoni are set to stay with Inter Milan.

“Chahanoglu and Bastoni will soon sign new contracts with Inter Milan,” Fabrizio Romano, a journalist familiar with European soccer news, reported on Friday (June 25) with the signature “Here We Go” caption.

“Chalhanoglu will sign a new long-term contract until June 2027. ‘I’m really happy to continue here,’ he said,” while “Bastoni will complete the deal next week if everything goes according to plan. He will be signed until June 2028 for an annual salary of €5 million (approximately KRW 7.1 billion).”

Chalhanoglu is no stranger to South Korean fans. He played for Leverkusen alongside Son Heung-min in the 2014-15 season. Chalhanoglu made his professional debut with Karlsruhe before moving to Hamburg (where he didn’t play with Son Heung-min) and then to Leverkusen. At the time, he was nicknamed The Greedy One for his individual play and indiscriminate shooting. 메이저놀이터

Even after his move to AC Milan, his ups and downs left a lot to be desired, and in the summer of 2021, he did not sign a new contract with the club and moved to rival Inter Milan as a free agent. Since his move to Inter, he has felt like he has found his place. Coach Simone Inzaghi used Nicolo Varela and Chalhanoglu as the left and right midfielders, with Marcelo Brozovic behind them to form a solid midfield.

Chalhanoglu also showed off his talents in the midfield, helping the team to the Coppa Italia in 2021-22. This season, he scored four goals and provided eight assists in 45 appearances across all competitions and was instrumental in helping the club reach the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final. His contract runs until June 2024, but Inter Milan have offered him a three-year extension, which will keep him at the club until June 2027.

Bastoni made his professional debut in 2016 after spending his youth career with Atalanta. After just one season with the Nerazzurri, he made a highly anticipated move to Inter Milan. He was loaned out again to Atalanta to gain experience, before joining Parma Calcio for the 2019-20 season.

Bastoni became a key member of the 2020-21 squad and helped the Nerazzurri win their first Scudetto in 11 years. Being left-footed is also a big plus. The center back is known for his solid defense as well as his build-up play.

Bastoni’s contract runs until June 2024, but the club plans to extend it until June 2028. “I think we will stay together and I’m very happy to do so,” Bastoni said after the Coppa Italia win on Friday.
