It was literally a frenzied locker room.
Manchester City defeated Manchester United 2-1 to win the English Football Association (FA) Cup final for the 2022-2023 season at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on 3 March.
They took the lead in the first minute. An Ilkay Gündoğan goal gave City the lead and they equalised through Bruno Fernandez from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute, but Gündoğan’s winner six minutes into the second half sealed the deal.

The locker room was a cauldron of frenzy. The music was blaring, the players were screaming and celebrating. The EPL’s top scorer, Elling Holland, was in his underwear, as was Brandon Ashton, who performed a slide across the locker room floor in his underwear bottoms.
The fun came later. When he slid down to where Zach Grilish’s Gucci bag was, fans and players alike laughed as a video was released of Grilish using a “hilarious” emoji with the caption, “Oh watch out for my Gucci”.
Elsewhere, City face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final at Turkiye Istanbul on 11 November. If they reach the final, they will have completed the feat of winning three competitions in one season (the treble).
